The pupils and teachers of SAPC Elementary Department enjoyably represented various countries of the world by wearing different national costumes and dancing with the tune of foreign music on the United Nations Celebration of San Antonio de Padua College last October 28, 2011.
All of them, with the Drum and Lyre Corps, assembled at Pila Plaza for the parade from there to SAPC Campus. Then, after a short break, they started the program with the doxology presented by the Liksilaw Juniors followed by the national anthem led by the Drum and Lyre Corps. Afterwards, Ms. Amorfina B. Suyosa, the Elementary Department principal, gave short welcome remarks. Also, Mizpah Salvador, a grade 6 pupil, gave some trivias about UN. Then, they moved on to the highlight of the event. Each pupil introduced himself or herself and the country he or she represents. Then, each level presented a dance number.
Each was judged according to his or her costume, self – introduction, and stage presence. And the following were given the awards for Mr. and Ms. United Nations:
2rd Runner Up: B – Jay Mole and Krisha Carrell Payag
1nd Runner Up: Erica Rose Cirera and Reemo Victor Cambe
Mr. and Ms. United Nations: Fidel Baseo, Jr. and Jemima Tacuban
