Young Journalists’ Club takes pride from DSSPC 2011

     Young Journalists’ Club of San Antonio de Padua College took home its pride from the 2011 Division Secondary Schools Press Conference in Rizal, Laguna after winning fifteen (15) awards, October 28.

     YJC, with its thirty (30) delegates and two advisers—Ms. Veronica R. Banay and Mr. Rinielle C. Montana—successfully placed itself as an awardee in different group categories. Paduan Torch, the official English newspaper of SAPC won 8th places in Best News Page and Page Design, 6th place in Best Editorial and Feature pages, 3rd in Sports page, and 6th Best Campus Paper while Ang Pinagpala, the official Filipino newspaper won 6th Best Page Design, 4th Best Editorial Page, and 10th Best Campus Paper.

     In the individual categories, YJC placed 7th in English News Writing with Abygail Donguines, 2nd in Filipino News Writing with Glaidel Espinosa, 9th in English Sports Writing with Apple Bueta, 9th in English Feature Writing with Renemae Ramirez, 9th in Online Writing with Lindvie Masongsong, and 1st in Journalists got Talent with Radnel Ofalsa.

     Donguines and Espinosa, winners in the individual categories and Paduan Torch and Ang Pinagpala, winners in group categories are joining Laguna’s delegation to the Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference in December.
