After the Fund Assistance for Private Education (FAPE) Seminar 0r 2012 In-Service Training (INSET) for Grade 7 Teachers of Private Schools last May 7 – 9, 2012 at LYCEUM of the Philippines – Calamba Campus, SAPC conducted its own in-service training held last May 18 – 25, 2012 at San Antonio de Padua College Computer Laboratory. The said INSET was attended by teachers in all departments (elementary, high school, and college) and was facilitated by the Director of Academic Affairs and high school principal, Prof. Ma. Mimie M. Castillo assisted by the attendees of 2012 FAPE Seminar namely Mr. Marco Leonil Banay, Mr. Darren Ruiz, Mrs. Merly Lobusta, Ms. Annalyn Etang, and Ms. Jennifer Frajenal who re-echoed some of the topics about K to 12 Curriculum.
The training aimed to equip teachers with the necessary competencies to cope with the challenges of the new curriculum as well as the strategies to address learners’ needs for the 21st century learning skills.
It covers the preparation of the learning module and learning plan guided by the National Learning Standards which will be used for the school year 2012 – 2013. The training included the use of varied resources and the integration of technology in teaching as well as the use of different assessment techniques for checking understanding.
Before the seminar ended, some teachers have successfully presented their outputs and underwent critical checking supervised by the Academic Affairs Officer.
